Woodworking
Studio Asarum is a humble woodworking shop located in Portland Oregon. From a small piece of furniture to a timber frame bath house, we have the skills and experience to bring your vision to life. We partner with expert tradesfolk on larger more ambitious projects and tackle the fine details of smaller woodworking projects here in the quiet solitude of our shop. Projects may be delivered within a reasonable distance of the Portland area. Shipping is available.
We work with you to develop your vision and generate a design that reflects your style and values. We guide you through selecting and sourcing materials that meet the functional and aesthetic goals of your project. The relationship between an ecosystem, a mountain, a tree, and the wood that lives in your home matters. We help you develop meaningful connections with the wood and materials used in your project. Whether the wood we select is windfall Douglas Fir milled at a local sawmill or FSC certified Western Red Cedar from the coast range, we value the environment and the labor that produces usable natural materials. We discuss the construction details of your project including timeline and budget, ensuring your project meets our shared expectations.
